Herbal Magick
Sunday, April 12th, 2015 11:00AM to 12:30PM

Herbs are a wonderful tool in magick. Burning certain herbs will help with meditation or ritual ambience. They are used in and of themselves, as well as in combination with other tools to create items for use in ritual and magick. We will discuss the multiple uses for herbs, aspects of some, and precautions. To prepare for the meeting, bring a fresh or dried herb from your collection; you can either share how you have used it yourself, or learn about it from the group.

Sunday Morning Meditation at Hart Park

Sunday Morning Meditation At Hart Park
Hosted by Enchanted Cottage Saturday Morning Meditation Group, Facilitated by Marcia Ohlman Cox
Sunday, April 19th, 2015 – 6:00am to 10:00pm

This is the first of many (we hope) special meditation events. On Sunday, April 19, 2015, 6:00 a.m. to approximately 10:00 a.m., our group will be hosting a meditation gathering at Hart Park. The first meditation will be a sunrise meditation – the sun rises at 6:15 a.m. If we so decide we can walk to the river and meditate there. We will be journey drumming, doing walking meditation, a special tree meditation and coloring your very own mandalas to meditate with and take home.

The price is bring something for breakfast – someone will be in charge of this – check back for further information. The meeting place is Reunion and River in Hart Park – near some grills, tables and bathrooms – it will be relaxing and meditative. Please let the Enchanted Cottage know if you would like to participate.

Encouragement with Affirmations
Sunday April 19th, 2015 11:00PM to 12:30PM

Encouragement from friends and family is what gets us through difficult times. And while KCPC is a pagan community created to celebrate sabbats and learn, we also support each other. We will be making “Affirmation Boards” on which we will create positive messages for each other. While we create these messages, we will discuss how our affirmation boards can be used as well as magickal ways to help us when we are stressed, depressed, or otherwise down. Put it into practice: if there is a point in the week when you feel discouraged in any way, grab your affirmation board and use it in a spell or just read the uplifting messages.

Music & Your Magickal Practices
Sunday, April 26th, 2015 11:00AM to 12:30PM

For the first 20-30 minutes people will share the ways they used their Affirmation Boards.

Gary will lead a discussion about music in relation to magick. Do certain songs, pagan or not, act as a trigger and set you into a magickal frame? What music do you utilize in personal rituals? Do you use music in your spell-crafting? We will explore the topic and share our insights. Your homework for next week: using what was discussed during the meeting, work music into something magickal you do and share it with the circle at the next meeting.
